Proactiv Solution Review

Does Proactiv Solutions work? Is it worth the money? Read our review of proactiv and customer rating of this acne treatment to find out more.

proactiv solution system products imagesProactive Solution is another three-step acne skin care system, created eight years ago by two Stanford dermatologists. With a heavy marketing push featuring well-known actresses, Proactiv is now the number one selling topical acne system in America.

Here’s how Proactive works;

•  Step one is the Renewing Cleanser that exfoliates dead skin cells and allows benzoyl peroxide to penetrate pores.

•  Step two is the Revitalizing Toner, which soothes skin and removes pore-clogging impurities.

•  Step three is the Repairing Lotion that hydrates and deeply penetrates skin to stop acne at its source.

Included in our product review was an Oil-free Moisturizer and an Oil Control Formula. The moisturizer is designed specially for acne-prone skin, improving its look and texture. The Oil Control Formula helps keep your skin balanced, so it looks radiant instead of oily.

Unfortunately, Proactiv doesn’t feature an all-natural or organic supplement to help fight the cause of acne internally as other ecffective acne treatment does such as Acnezine.

Proactiv is one of the most recognized acne fighting treatments available. It utilizes a well-known celebrity client base in its advertising. If you watch enough TV, you’ll see advertisements from such stars as Vanessa Williams, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Clarkson, Brooke Shields, and Elle Macpherson.

Side effects: The only side effects with Proactiv are possibly dry skin and bleached clothing (if you get it on your clothes).

Overall Proactiv is a good topical product. It is safe and generally effective to use, but lacks the internal component that an oral supplement offers in the battle for healthy skin.

Proactive does work. But, if you plan on using it to keep your skin clear all the time, once u start using it, u can’t stop. And after using it for almost 6 months, it kept my skin clear, but i still had blackheads, and a few reoccurring pimples. I prefer using ivory soap now, it keeps my face softer, and cleaner, and it never gets oily enough to so-call "trap oil" in my pores. Plus, You don’t Have To Spend 15 Minutes Of Your Time every day washing your face!

I’ve had mild acne since I was 15 and I’m 25 now. I seem to always have one or two blemishes and I finally gave into the commercials and bought proactiv. For the first couple of weeks, it seemed to be working, then it started drying my skin. My skin become scaly and redder and worse, my skin began to break out the same as before using it. I stopped using it after a month of this and returned the product. I will say this for proactiv, they do return your money with little fuss.

I agree that the commercials make it seem like its a miracle product, well it isn’t. I mean I don’t want to use a product all my life in order to have clear skin, I just want the one pimple I get every now and then to disappear faster. I personally think that the medicine on proactive makes your skin very sensitive if you stop using it, like you’d get oily skin or break out easily if you don’t use the product. Its a huge catch if your skin only has mild acne. So don’t get it unless you really need, buy some neutrogena it works better for just mild acne.

It’s almost 2 months i have been using proactiv and all i can say it really works. At first, i was very skeptical until i can see the visible result now.Yes, it really dries your skin but no worries u only need to put on moisturizer. On my first month i suffered a lot until im thinking of giving up and hate it but hold on, why not keep going for another month and put more effort and patience. And yesss…i did it..must keep on reading more on what cause your break out and not to put 100 percent rely on the product itself.Goood luck..

I have sever cyctic acne that leaves scars. I take a high dose of antibiotics everyday but needed something topical. The prescription topicals were not working. I tried Proactive. It has been a year in April and I haven’t had this clear of skin in years!! I gave it 4 stars because it does leave my skin too oily after I use the repairing lotion. I wish there was an internal drying part of the package. I have read that Acnesine and Proacitve work well together. I may try it. Also, the sun sensitive skin and ALL my shirts are bleached from the lotion. But my complexion needed to be evened out and Proactive didl that. And keeps it even. So I’ll buy new clothes!

im 13 so i just started getting pimples and i started using clearasil (idk if i spelt that right) and it was just making it worse. so then i started using all these different things and it was just getting better and worse and better and worse etc. so when i heard about proactiv i of course tried it and it really did get better. but then i noticed that when i ran out, i had to buy a new supply of it and i was without proactiv for only a week and all my acne came right back and i was pissedd. so if you use this stuff its pretty much a lifetime contractt. Acnezine is the best, not proactiv.
