Bread Could Cause Teenage Acne

In addition IGF-1 enhances the augmentation of skin cells known as keratinocytes that forms the basis of the deposition of bacteria.

The processes incorporated in the manufacturing of breads and cereals may change the structures of protein in the grains, resulting in the rapid digestion followed by excess release of insulin. A reduced grain diet may result in the reduction of acne especially amongst teenagers. Even people sustaining on low-carbohydrate diets also reduces the chances of getting affected from acne.

It has been found out that when IGF-1 is used to treat certain ailments there is an increase if male hormones which causes in acne. While in case of women a medical condition known as polycystic ovary syndrome which increases the sugar level in the body thereby increasing the level of insulin which facilitates acne.
